Blitz Unplugged

Blitz UnpluggedGot a chance to capture some dope moments at the taping of MTVu Houseband for Blitz the Ambassador. It was really dope to see the Embassy Ensemble fill this studio room. What was even more amazing was the music coming out of this place! I got there pretty late in the day so I missed some of the featured artist like John Forte, Tess, and Balla Tounkara. But I got to see Kate Mattison and Bajah of the Dry Eyed Crew do their thing.
A week later I met up with Blitz at the same studio in Restoration Plaza, where he was putting the final touches on the Live Album which is also what they recording that day I shot. Blitz hooked me up with a advanced copy before it was mastered, and I gotta say, I’m so excited and proud to be apart of this MVMT with Blitz. These live studio sessions are amazing! I can’t wait til it premieres on MTVu and on iTunes. The Original album STEREOTYPE was already recorded with live instruments, and a lot of people don’t even realize that, that is part of why that album is one of the best albums of the year. But man… these live versions with these features are CRAZY!!!! John Forte does his thing on “Dying to Live”, Bajah rips the mic on “Nothing to Lose” and man, You have to witness Balla Tounkara on “Remembering the Future”.
Blitz does not stop, and I’m proud to be apart of his MVMT and help him get his music out. No matter what future awards he wins, i’m completely satisfied now, knowing what he is contributing to our culture. Here is a teaser to the Live Sessions that Should be premiering on MTVu “Housband” show next month.
